How to clean Toilets

Several commercial cleaners are available for cleaning toilets. Generally, the greater the acid content, the more effective the cleaner will be. Avoid using high acid cleaners with older porcelain toilet bowls, as they may damage or crack the bowl. Follow instructions carefully.

Pouring a cup of household bleach into the toilet bowl water each night will help clean and sterilize it. Alternatively, pour the used solution from sterilizing baby’s bottles and leave over night.

Toilet rings may be removed by first flushing to wet the sides of the bowl, and then applying a paste of borax and lemon juice. Leave for two hours and scrub.

DO NOT USE BLEACH IN SEPTIC SYSTEMS

Do not mix or use two different types of toilet cleaner together. The results may be toxic and/or explosive.
